Participate going around the kora with the many pilgrims that come to Lhasa, Use the day to acclimatize to the altitude) Day 4: Lhasa (Potala Palace, Norbulingka, Sera Monastery) (Potala Palace the home of the Dalai Lama built in the 7th century, Norbulingka is the summer home of the Dalai Lama and is the most important picnic spot in Tibet, Sera Monastery is the 3rd biggest monastery in the Lhasa region and is famous for it’s afternoon monk debates) Day 5: Lhasa - Namtso (Namtso Lake is the highest salt water lake. This lake offers stunning views of the Nyachen Thangla Range. Spend the night in a tent guesthouse) Day 6: Namtso - Shigatse (Drive on a beautiful less traveled back road over high passes with great views) Day 7: Shigatse (visit Tashi Lhunpo and Panchen Lama Summer Palace) (visit Tashi Lhunpo which is the largest Yellow Hat sect monastery in the Tsang region built by the 1st Dalai Lama, and is now the seat of the Panchen Lama. Panchen Lama Summer Palace has very impressive murals) Day 8: Shigatse - Lhatse - New Tingri (Eat lunch at Lhatse, after Lhatse go over Gyatsola pass 5248m.) Day 9: New Tingri - Everest Base Camp (Stay in the tent city or Rongbuk Monastery guesthouse. Rongbuk Monastery is the highest monastery on Earth) Day 10: Everest Base Camp - Gyantse Day 11: Gyantse - Karola Glacier - Yamdrok Lake - Lhasa (In the morning visit Kumbum Stupa known as the most impressive architecture in Tibet established in 14th and 15th century, after Kumbum. Visit Karola glacier on the way to Yamdrok Lake. Yamdrok Lake is one of the holiest lakes in Tibet and is shaped like a scorpion) Day 12: Depart from Lhasa
