Schedule:
Arrival in Lhasa, warm Tibetan style pick-up and transfer to hotel for acclimatization, or you can have your free time hanging out at this holy city to get the first impression of Tibet.

Day 5 (15/06/2011) hasa sightseeing Highlights: Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, Backhor Street (Tour of the world heritages and Tibetan history)
Schedule:
In the morning, visit the symbol or landmark of Lhasa—Potala Palace, the successive Dalai Lama’s winter residence. In the afternoon, visit the center of Tibetan Buddhism—Jorhkang Temple, where you will come across lots of devoted pilgrimages coming from every corner of Tibet. Both sites are under the list of the world cultural heritages by the UNISCO.

Day 6 (16/06/2011): Lhasa Sightseeing
Highlights: Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery (Tour of the most important monasteries in Tibet)Schedule: In the morning, we will visit Drepung Monastery which is the biggest Tibetan Buddhism College with the biggest number of monks in Tibet. The monastery used to be the winter residence of the Dalai Lama before the 5th Dalai Lama moved his residency to the Potala Palace. And in the afternoon, we will visit another influential Gelugpa Monastery—Sera Monastery, where the largest scale of scripture debating among monks is famous all across Tibet. We will watch the debate session and you may join in too with the help your guide.

Day 7 (17/06/2011) hasa—Gyantse (270 km/ 6 hours on wheel)
Highlights: Yamdrok Lake, Kumpa Stupa, Pelchor Monastery, local family visit (Tour of Tibetan holy lake and family wisdom)
Schedule:
In the morning, drive to the historic town of Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake, according to local mythology, Yamdrok Lake is the transformation of a goddess, on the Gangbala Pass, you will have a clear picture of this Tibetan holy lake in turquoise, in distance you can also see the snow capped Summit of Ninjingkangsang. In Gyantse, you will find the largest stupa in Tibet—Kumpa Stupa (Ten-thousand stupa), just next to the Stupa is the Pelchor Monastery. Another important site in Gyantse is Dzong Castle which once was a battle field where Tibetan fought against British invasion. After or before this, you can have a family visit to a local Tibetan family. Overnight at Gyantse
Day 8 (18/06/2011): Gyantse –Shigatse (90 km/ 2 hours on wheel)
Highlights: Tashilumo Monastery, local market (Tour of Tibetan religion panorama)
Schedule: In the morning, visit Tashilumo Monastery which is the seat of Panchen Lama, the equally important religious figure in Tibet as Dalai Lama. The monastery was built by the first Dalai Lama in 1447, and inside the Monastery placed the highest statue of Buddha in Tibet which is 26.8 meters high. Afterward, visit the local free market. Day 9 (19/06/2011): Shigatse—Lhasa (280 km/ about 5 hours on wheel) Schedule: Drive back to Lhasa, the free time is upon your own. Accommodations: Lhasa Kangdro Hotel
Day 10 (20/06/2011): Place & Transport: Lhasa-- Namtso Lake (250 km/ about 5 hours on wheel)
Schedule: In the morning, we drive north towards the Namtso Lake which is regard as the Sky Lake among Tibetan. Namtso Lake is also the highest big lake in the world with as altitude of 4718 meters. The deep blue lake water makes the lake looks like part of the sky, and the perennial snow-capped Nyenqing Tangula Mountains with peak over 7000 meters towering above the lake to the south, besides you could also see vast Namtso grassland with nomadic families and yaks dotted on. And also, the sunset and sunrise over the lake are definitely two highlights of this Sky Lake tour. Overnight near the shore of the Namtso Lake.

Day 11 (21/06/2011): Namtso—Lhasa (250 km/ about 5 hours on wheel)
Highlights: Sunrise over the Namtso Lake
Schedule: In the morning, after watching the beautiful sunrise over the Namtso Lake. And then drive back to Lhasa, the free time is upon your own then.
