DAY 1. ULAANBAATAR-AMARBAYASGALANT MONASTERY (L/D)
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Visit Sukhbaatar square
- Leave Ulaanbaatar city for Amarbayasgalant monastery(370km)
- Lunch in Darkhan city
- Darkhan –Amarbasgalant(140km) .
- Check in tourist camp
- Visit Monastery
- Dinner at the tourist camp Restaurant
Amarbayasgalant Khiid or the Monastery of Tranquil Felicity - once one of the three largest Buddhist institutions in Mongolia is located near the Selenge river in the Iven river valley, at the foot of Mount Buren-Khaan in Baruuburen soum of Selenge province in northern Mongolia. Looking for a site for building, the exploratory group met a boy and a girl, Amar and Bayasgalant, playing in a steppe, and decided to build the future monastery at that site and name the monastery after those children. The Amarbayasgalant Monastery was built to honor the memory of theocratic leader G.Zanabazar, by order Manchu Emperor Enkh-Amgalan Khan (Yongzheng).
DAY 2. AMARBAYASGALANT MONASTERY-UNIT VILLAGE(B/L/D)(250km)
- Breakfast at the tourist camp
- Leave Amarbayasgalant to Unit village
- Lunch in open air
- Arrive at tourist camp near Selenge river
- Check in to tourist camp.
- Go fishing
- If you want , You can rent 4 wheel motorbike and ride around . (30$/hour)
In the morning, we will have breakfast in thetourist camp. We must drive early as we have to reach to the tourist camp early near unit village. Lunch at the tourist camp restaurant, and go fishing in the Selenge river. In the evening, there will be a dancing party. Listening to the stream of Selenge river and drinking some beers and dancing on the nice Mongolian music might be refresh your mind.
DAY 3. UNIT VILLAGE-KHUVSGUL LAKE(B/L/D)(340km)
- Breakfast at the Restaurant
- Continue driving to Khubsgul lake
- Lunch at Murun city
- Drive to Khatgal Village
- Take boat to tourist camp(20 km)
- Dinner at 7 pm .
- Free Time
Another day of driving will finally bring us to the Lake Khuvsgul, the right place to enjoy the well deserved rest after several days of driving. The Lake Khuvsgul located in the northwest of Mongolia near the border to Russia. It is about 1100m above the sea level, 136 km long and 262 m deep. It is the second most freshwater lake in Asia. The town of Khatgal is at the southern end of the Lake. The lake is surrounded by several mountain ranges. The surface of the lake freezes over completely in winter and the ice festival organized annually in early February which becoming quite attractive event in winter tourism in Mongolia. Taiga, Tsaatan families, reindeer herders are the main attractions for tourists. Once we get to the lake we have free time to wander around the lake and hiking around before the dinner will be served. We will stay overnight in a Mongolian ger. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
DAY 4. KHUVSGUL LAKE(B/L/D)(Horse riding)
Today we may do various activities such as swimming, hiking horseback riding. You may as well as laze around by the vast blue expanse of the lake. We will stay overnight in a Mongolian ger.

- Drive 30km to the place for horse riding
- Take our horses and ride to the mountain to see view of Khubsgul lake(6km)
- Lunch in the open air
- Drive back to Tourist camp
DAY 5. KHUVSGUL LAKE-JARGAL VILLAGE (B/L/D)
- Breakfast in the tourist camp
- Drive to the Jargal village (100 km asphalt road, 170km dirt road)
- Lunch in open air
- At the night in Tents (Depends on weather of the day)
- Mongolian traditional barbeque for Dinner (Goat meat)
Jargal village is located on the half way of khuvsgul lake to Terkh white lake. Today we will drive full day. It is 190km from khuvsgul lake. Do you want to ask that why we must drive full day? Yes, Road is terrible. We will drive 100km by asphalt road and 90 km by dirt road. Lunch at the nature. Overnight camping near the river .
DAY 6. JARGAL VILLAGE-TERKH WHITE LAKE, KHORGO VOLCANO (B/L/D)
- Breakfast at the camping site
- Drive to Terkh white lake (90km dirt road)
- Lunch at the tourist camp
- After lunch, climb to Khorgo volcano
- Visit 1 man cave, Yellow dog’s cave on the way back to tourist camp
- Dinner at 7 pm
Dirt road again. 90 km dirt road. Ok we will drive in the morning and come to the Terkh white lake in the afternoon. After lunch, We explore sightseeing around Terkh lake. Hiking to the Khorgo volcano and caves which was created by volcano eruption.
The Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur is also known as White Lake in the Khangai Mountain range in central Mongolia with relatively pure fresh water. The lake is 16 km wide, about 4-10m deep with its deepest point at 28m and over 20kms in a length. It is flooded 61sq.km and the lake has pike and other fishes. Rare birds are found here as well. This volcanic lake was created thousands of years ago by lava flows from the nearby Khorgo Mountain volcano. Khorgo Mountain is an extinct volcano, which lies east of the White lake. This area has been protected since 1965, fully in 1997
DAY 7. TERKH WHITE LAKE- KHARKHORIN (B/L/D)

- Drive to kharkhorin city
- 1 stop near Chuluut river for a photo
- Luch in Tsetserleg city
- Check in to hotel
After breakfast, we will drive to Kharkhorin which was a capital city of Mongolia in 13th century for about 30 years, located in northwestern part of Uvurkhangai province of Mongolia. On the way to get to the Kharkhorin we will have a lunch on the Korean food restaurant of Tsetserleg city. We will drive forward to Kharkhorin after the lunch. One of the Mongolian most attractive monasteries Erdenezuu locates in Kharkhorin City. The Erdenezuu monastery is the most ancient survived Buddist monastery in Kharkhorin, Mongolia. The Erdenezuu monastery was built in 1585 by Abtai Sain Khan and the monastery was allowed to exist as a museum, the only functioning monastery was Gandan monastery in the capital, Ulaanbaatar. However after the fall of communism in Mongolia in 1990, the monastery was turned over the lamas and Erdenezuu again became a place of worship. Once we get there, we will accommodate in a town ger hostel. We have especial food for the dinner which called khorkhog. It is the Mongolian traditional barbeque. After having dinner in a hostel, we will have a free time hiking or wandering around the town
