Day 02 : Morning visit Potala palace, the seat of the both religion and politics in Tibet. It was built in the 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo and later renovated by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. Afternoon visit Sera monastery 5 kilometer north of Lhasa City, it was built in 1419 by Jamchen Choejie, a disciple of Tsongkapa, and the founder of the Gelugpa sect. Day 03 : Morning visit Drepung monastery, which is the largest monastery
Of the Gelugpa sect in Lhasa, it was built in 1416 by Jamyang Choejie, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. After visiting Drepung drive to Norbulingkha the summer palace of the Dalai Lama which was built in 18th century. Afternoon visit Jokhang temple and Barkhor market, this is the holiest shrine in Tibet and houses a golden statue of the Shakyamuni Buddha, which was brought to Tibet by Chinese princess Wenchen.
Day 04 : Drive to Shok Fu via Drak Yerpa cave for those with a particular interest
in Tibetan buddhism, Drak Yerpa hermitage, about 45km north - east of Lhasa, is one of the holiest cave retreats in U. among the many ascetics who have sojourned here and contributed to the area's great sanctity are Guru Renpoche and Atisha(Jowo- Je), the Bengali Buddhist who spent 12 years proselytisin in Tibet. King Tsongtsen Gampo also meditated in a cave here, after his Tibetan wife established the forst of Yerpa's chapels, the site is deeply peaceful and has stunning views.
at one time the hill at the base of the cave-dotted cliffs was home to yerpa Drubde Monastery, the sunner residence of Lhasa's Gyu college at the Ramoche Temple. drive to Shok Fu overnight camping.
Day 05 : Trek to Metok via Kasum la Pass 4980m trek 5 to 6 hours overnight camping
Day 06 : Trek to Mani Gang short trek 3 hours overnight Tibetan family Home.
Day 07 : Trek to Lodong then pick up you and drive to Lhasa via Ganden monastery overnight medium Hotel
Day 08 : Drive to Shegatse via Gyangtse overnight medium Hotel.
Day 09 : Drive to Tingri overnight guest house.
Day 10 : Drive to Everest and Rongbuk monastery overnight tent Guest house.
